A lot of people want to know what serving at a Shore Fellowship is all about.  Well, here at Shore, Church doesn't just happen on the weekend.  It's our mission to connect the love of Christ to the heart of our community every moment of every day.  There are many serving opportunities through out the year to do just that.  Look for opportunities throughout the year in our Shore Fellowship communications.

We have some great opportunities available.  Where is it that God is calling you to serve?                    

ENTRY LEVEL:

      • Traffic Control - A heart to serve and hospitality with the ability to follow instructions needed for all services and special events
      • Greeter - A smile and warm handshake is all you need to bring with you!
      • Next Steps Hosts - This is a great opportunity to sign people up for volunteering, connect groups and basically all of the next steps for becoming involved more with Shore
      • VIP Hosts - If you love to meet new people, this is for you!  Be the person our first time visitors get to connect with
      • Hospitality - This position is great if you like to prepare coffee, set up trays of donuts and coffee as well as talk with people
      • Sound, Video and Lighting - If you are gifted in this area they we want you to use those gifts right here at Shore Fellowship
      • Maintenance - Our maintenance department does everything from weeding the gardens to large repairs.  Jump on board and be a part of improving of physical plant
      • Check-in - Basic computer skills are needed to check in our adults for classes
      • Meals Ministry - There are times that our members have babies, suffer a loss or had recent surgery.  The meals ministry is a great way to show some love and bring them a warm and delicious meal.
      • Angel Tree Team - This ministry is active from November through December.  We are always looking for people to man the tree and help organize

ENTRY LEVEL PLUS:

      • Cafe' - Our cafe' is open during all services and  provides opportunities to purchase hot and cold beverages as well as small snacks
      • Bookstore - Our bookstore is open during all services and provides opportunities for people to purchase our Pastor's picks
      • Check in - This check in would be for the Children's ministry and basic computer skills would be a plus
      • Stage Crew - How do you think all of those items get put on stage?  Well, this would be our behind the scenes people who ensure everything is ready to go for our Pastor
      • Positions in Children's, Jr. and Senor High - these entry plus positions include things like assiting with food, small group helpers and greeters
      • Patmos Park - the entry level positions include things like park construction, maintenance, promotion and developing connects for the kids between the park and the church

MID LEVEL:

      • Clerical Assitance - with all of the new people joining Shore Fellowship, excelling into service and connecting we have alot of clerical follow up that needs to be done
      • Special Events Leader - every now and again we have special events at the Church.  In this role you could lead an event under the guidance of a staff person
      • Computer Technician - this position is available on the weekends and would trouble shoot an computer problems that may arise.  A MAC proficiency is a plus
      • Web Content Management - If you have this unique gift just sign up and we'll get you plugged in
      • Staff Assistant/Runner - On the weekends our staff are often times called to ministry to visitors and work out the finer details of operations.  If you are the type of person that would like to assist one of our staff please be in touch

LEADERSHIP:

      • Usher - we're lookking for take charge, people oriented individuals who will manage the many responsibilities this position will entail
      • Positions in Children's, Jr. and Senior High - this would involve a weekly committment as a small group/ connect group leader
      • Welcome Team/Welcome Center -  Friendly, smiling, service oriented people to be available during and after services for our visitors.
      • Worship Team - If you are a seasoned muscian/singer with a heart for praise and worship then we want you to share the message of Jesus Christ in a spirit of high-energy celebration and passionate worship.  Interviews and auuditions are help by appointment
      • Public Safety - If you have a heart to keep order and safety they we  could use you to  jump in where ever and whenever needed     
      • Patmos Park - We're looking for shift leaders for when the park opens in Spring of 2012   
      • Finance and Count Team - we have positions available on weekends and during the week
      • Ministry Leader - If God is calling you to excel into Volunteer leadership then please get in touch right away so we can help you on that journey                  

What is required to become a Volunteer?

Volunteers are people who leverage their time, talents, energy and resources to make a difference in the Kingdom of God. Shore Fellowship is driven by God, but fueled by volunteers. We train and appreciate volunteers and remind them that they don't just complete tasks, they help lead people from where they are to where God wants them to be.  We have nearly 200 volunteers serving every weekend.
