ShoreKids Elementary
Our elementary environment is for children in Kindergarten through 4th grade. It is offered at all of the weekend services Saturday, 6:00 PM and Sunday at 8:30, 10:00 and 11:30 AM at our EHT campus. ShoreKids is located in the first building when you arrive on campus and family parking is provided in the front parking lot.
Our elementary curriculum is formatted in a large group/ small group model. Kids will be in a smaller group setting with other children their age and then all grades will move into the larger group. The small group leader for the small group is the same person each week at the same time slot, so it really helps if you bring your child to the same service time each week. During large group, students will be able to take part in engaging age-appropriate music and then watch a dramatic story tell of our monthly virtue and Bible story. Videos and other forms of multimedia will be used to engage kids each week.
Our curriculum is a virtue based curriculum that works on one virtue each month that kids can apply to their lives. The virtue changes each month, but our 3 eternal truths stay the same week after week....
1. I can trust God no matter what
2. I should treat others the way I want to be treated
3. I need to make the wise choice
We provide several ways for you as a family to interact and reinforce what your child is learning each week.
- God Time Card is a sheet we send home each week for kids to do a mini devotional throughout the week. If they bring it back completed, your child will receive a sand dollar (a form of currency they can use at our ShoreKids store).
-Parent Cue Cards are available for parents that want them. They review over the lesson just taught that week, so that parents can read the same Bible story with their children.
-Memory Verse card is a tool to help kids memorize God's word. The monthly theme verse is at the top, with additional verses related to that month's virtue. As kids recite the memory verse to their connect group leaders each week, they can again earn sand dollars for our store.
-A CueBox can also be used as an interactive tool to engage your family at home. Each month the virtue is supported by the cuebox, to help "cue" parents into what we're learning about. There is a website studio252.tv where parents and kids can go to find out all types of cool things for that month.
