MANNA WORLDWIDE PARTNER PROJECTS

In 2003 Shore Fellowship Church partnered with Manna Worldwide to begin a relationship that would change the lives of impoverished children around the world.  Manna’s main objective is to establish feeding centers, orphanages and free medical clinics for the world’s most needy children.  In addition to being fed, the children who participate at these projects, along with their parents, are required to attend weekly classes where the Gospel of Jesus Christ and Bible teaching is presented.

Shore Fellowship’s partnership with Manna Worldwide is a unique relationship.  Manna provides the physical infrastructure: land, buildings and staff, needed to feed and care for the children.  While the funding for each operation comes from individuals in the congregation of Shore Fellowship, who provide for the monthly expenses of these centers.

OUR PROJECTS

Shore Fellowship Church currently supports four individual projects with Manna Worldwide.  We are looking to add our 5th project sometime in the future.  Our current goal is to have five operational Manna projects around the world.

TANZANIA In 2003, we opened our 1st feeding center, in Dar Es Salaam, Tanzania.  Every day this center feeds 100 children, 2 meals a day.  The monthly commitment for the operation of this center is $1500.00 per month.

CHILE  In 2005 we added a 2nd feeding center in Santiago, Chile.  This center feeds 65 impoverished children 2 meals a day.  In addition to being fed, when a physical or medical need arises, these children or their parents are helped through the funding provided by Shore Fellowship.  The monthly commitment for the operational costs of this center is $1300.00 per month.

PAKISTAN  Just recently we have added our 3rd feeding center in the country of Pakistan.  The building which houses the project has been acquired and the director to oversee this center has been appointed.  Manna is currently searching for the children who will benefit the greatest from the feeding program.   The monthly committment for the operation of this center is $500.00 per month.

NICARAGUA  We are presently in the building stages of opening a free medical clinic in the mountains of northern Nicaragua.  Currently, in the La Esmeralda area, there are no medical facilities for many miles.  This clinic, with a fulltime staff of 1 doctor and 2 nurses, would provide free medical attention to all in need.  The medications, medical supplies and equipment will be provided free of charge by a partnership with the World Health Organization.  Manna Worldwide has raised the $50,000.00 needed to construct this clinic.  Construction of this building will take place early winter 2009, with operations begining upon completion.  We are currently looking for commitments to support the $1,000.00 monthly expenses needed to staff and operate this clinic.
